$5,000 Goal

Companion Pet Rescue CPR, Inc. is an all-volunteer group that is devoted to saving the lives of the "forgotten" cats in our society. We work to find rural properties where the cats can live out their lives in as safe an environment as possible. This organization was incorporated in 1997 and received 501C3 classification from the IRS in February 1998.  In 2021 we placed 336 cats into barns.  As of August, 2022 we have placed 278 cats.  We project we will reach our goal of 450 cats by years end.

Our mission changed when we were unable to place cats during the hot summer months of July and August.  We became a local KITTEN RESCUE.  Using last years NTX Giving Day funds, we were able to rescue over 60 kittens (and their moms).  NTxBC was also able to purchase cat food/supplies for the Garland and Saginaw, Texas shelters, and for fifteen (15) small rescue groups throughout TEXAS.

Our Needs

We need individuals that can temporarily hold cats in their home/garage/barn pending placement. We are always looking for more barns and other placements for these cats.

Giving Activity

Mission

Companion Pet Rescue Inc. saves cats by rescuing "Non-Adoptable" cats from city animal shelters and individuals. These cats "work" for its upkeep by hunting vermin, such as rodents, and snakes. They are commonly employed where pest control is needed: in barns, farms, factories, warehouses, stores, churchyards, and private property. A benefit of using a working cat is that they alleviate the need for harmful pesticides.

We are an all-volunteer group that is devoted to saving the lives of the "forgotten" cats in our society. We work to find properties where the cats can live out their lives in as safe an environment as possible. Prior to placement, each cat is neutered and vaccinated.
