A Stronger Community Starts with a Full Plate

This North Texas Giving Day, your gift to Community Link will be doubled to help put healthy food on the table for families right here in Northwest Tarrant County.

Thanks to a generous $20,000 matching gift from The Pigman Family Charitable Fund, every gift will have twice the impact:

• A gift of $25 becomes $50—enough to provide a week’s worth of groceries for a family.
• A gift of $50 becomes $100—enough to provide two weeks of groceries for a family of four.

Across North Texas, 1 in 4 children faces food insecurity. At Community Link, we have the capacity to serve approximately 160 families each day—but demand can exceed 300.

Behind those numbers are parents, children, seniors, and neighbors whose budgets simply are not stretching far enough.

For families like Elisa’s, Community Link helps fill the gaps. Elisa and her husband are raising three daughters, ages 14, 7, and 4. With one income from her husband’s work as a driver, access to groceries—especially fresh fruits and vegetables—makes a meaningful difference for their family.

“I’m happy to come here and be able to get fruits and vegetables for my house,” Elisa shared.

Fresh food is an important part of Community Link’s work. Through FreshLink Farms, our onsite hydroponic garden, we grew more than 5,000 heads of lettuce last year to help local families bring healthy food home.
