HELP US RAISE $100,000 TO SAVE MORE DOGS ACROSS NORTH TEXAS

Our Most Ambitious North Texas Giving Day Goal Yet

More than 11,000 dogs have been given a second chance through Cody’s Friends Rescue—and we couldn’t have done it without people like you. This North Texas Giving Day, we’re setting our biggest goal ever: $100,000 FOR SECOND CHANCES

Every day, dogs across North Texas find themselves in overcrowded shelters, on the streets, abandoned, injured, neglected, or facing medical emergencies their families cannot afford.

YOUR GIFT SAVES LIVES

Recently, our community has helped us take on some incredibly serious medical cases. Dogs have come to us needing emergency hospitalization, lifesaving surgeries, extensive treatment and months of recovery.

We could take those dogs into our care because donors like you stood behind us.

Your North Texas Giving Day donation helps provide:

  • Routine and emergency veterinary care
  • Lifesaving surgeries and hospitalization
  • Heartworm prevention and treatment
  • Vaccinations and spay/neuter
  • Food and essential supplies
  • Training and rehabilitation
  • Foster support
  • Transportation and rescue logistics
  • Everything necessary to prepare a dog for a loving forever home

Every dollar moves another dog closer to safety, healing and home.

11,000+ LIVES — AND WE’RE NOT DONE!

Saving more than 11,000 dogs is no easy feat. Behind that number are thousands of individual stories: frightened shelter dogs who became beloved family members, injured dogs who received the medical care they desperately needed, abandoned dogs who learned to trust again, and dogs who simply needed someone to give them a chance.

You helped make those 11,000+ second chances possible. Now, we’re asking North Texas to help us write the next chapter.

Our $100,000 North Texas Giving Day goal will give Cody’s Friends Rescue the resources to respond when the next urgent call comes in and continue saving dogs throughout our community long after Giving Day is over.

WHO IS CODY?

Cody’s Friends Rescue began with one very special little dog.

Founder and President Tina Austin brought home Cody, a 5-week-old Shih Tzu, as a young adult. At the time, she didn't understand the cruel realities of puppy mills. She soon learned that Cody had come from circumstances that left his tiny body fighting for his life.

Cody survived those difficult early months, and Tina was blessed with eight wonderful years with him. His resilience changed the course of her life. Inspired by Cody and determined to help other dogs who desperately needed someone in their corner, Tina began working with rescue organizations and eventually founded Cody’s Friends Rescue in his honor.

What started with the love of one dog has now helped save more than 11,000 lives.

Today, Cody’s legacy lives on every time a dog is pulled from a shelter, receives lifesaving medical care, enters a loving foster home, or finally meets the family they've been waiting for. But there are thousands more waiting.

This North Texas Giving Day, you can become part of Cody’s legacy and help us give the next dog their second chance.

We are dedicated to giving these dogs the second chance they deserve by rehabilitating them physically and emotionally and finding them loving forever homes, no matter the cost or effort. It’s a labor of love, and we’ve been blessed in our efforts thanks to the incredible support of people like you.

Rescuing animals and improving their lives come with significant financial challenges. We rely entirely on community donations to care for the dogs currently awaiting their forever homes. Your contribution on North Texas Giving Day allows us to continue making North Texas a more compassionate and loving place for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages.
