CLC, Inc., (Commuinty Learning Center) is a 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 2000 to provide job seekers with model education, training, and employment services that lead to career-progressive jobs and provide employers with qualified workers to meet their workforce needs. Much of the success that CLC, Inc. has experienced since its founding in 2000 is due to its development and effective use of an award-winning, community-consortium, partnership approach to the design, implementation, and operation of several successful workforce development initiatives for people with multiple barriers to employment.

CLC, Inc. has designed, developed, implemented, and operated award-winning skills training programs in high-demand occupations such as aircraft assembly, composite bonding, machining, welding, production technology, heating and air-conditioning (HVAC), office careers, and logistics. These occupations are deemed targeted occupations by the local workforce investment system with substantial projected job growth over the next several years.

CLC, Inc. provides these industry-specific training, employment, and follow-up services to those considered "most in need" in the local community, including dislocated, long-term unemployed, and underemployed workers, at risk youth and youth offenders, people with low basic skills; and people living at or below the poverty level. Over 10,000 people with multiple barriers to employment have learned the skills necessary to become employed in high-quality, high-wage jobs with excellent benefit packages with project industry partners such as Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, Bell Helicopter TEXTRON, Vought Aircraft Industries, and many others.

Mission

Through partnerships with industry, business, government, schools and community organizations, CLC, Inc. provides model educational, training, and employment services designed to lead to better jobs and careers, for individuals who need and want them most.

Needs

We would like to supplement our Scholarship Fund which provides tuition for students that are unable to afford the cost of training.
