Driven by a passion for breaking financial barriers, our mission is to create opportunities for young athletes to pursue their dreams and achieve their fullest potential. The CheGal Athletic Project envisions a world where every young volleyball and soccer athlete—regardless of financial or cultural challenges—has the opportunity to excel in both sports and academics. We strive to empower these youth athletes and first-generation college students from Africa and the Caribbean to break barriers, achieve their dreams, and inspire future generations through resilience, excellence, and community impact.

Giving Activity

Mission

CheGal Athletic Project champions youth athletes in volleyball and soccer by breaking financial barriers and opening doors to opportunity. Through club fee support and college scholarships, we empower volleyball liberos and first-generation student soccer athletes from Africa and the Caribbean to thrive—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond.

Equity Statement

CheGal Athletic Project believes that every young athlete deserves a fair shot at success—regardless of financial status, cultural background, or life circumstances. We are committed to advancing equity by removing barriers to participation in volleyball and soccer, supporting families navigating significant life changes, and uplifting first-generation college students from Africa and the Caribbean. Through intentional programming, inclusive scholarships, and culturally resonant resources, we strive to create a level playing field where all youth athletes can grow, compete, and lead with confidence.

Rooted in faith and guided by purpose, we foster mentorship and build community partnerships that nurture the whole athlete—mind, body, and spirit. Together, we empower the next generation to rise, inspire, and transform their communities.
