UPCOMING HIGHLIGHTS

CMSFW welcomes you to the 2024-2025 season of eight concerts, Journey Through Textural ColorsHighlights of the season include the Dover Quartet performing a newly-commissioned work by Jerod Tate, an Emmy-winning American Indian composer who beautifully integrates western music with his native culture. Among the additional season's concerts are performances by the Balourdet Quartet, the Busch Trio with Artistic Director Gary Levinson, and the Marmen Quartet. The diverse programming is truly a journey through textural colors with works by Beethoven, Haydn, Smetana, Debussy, Clara Schumann, Beach and Barber.
Over the past two years CMSFW has featured a roster of outstanding musicians from over a dozen countries. The highlight of the 2022-2023 season was the Beethoven Quartet Cycle, a full week of captivating performances through a partnership with the Miro Quartet. Last season included a special event with students and alumni from the Curtis Institute of Music.

EDUCATION INITIATIVES

CMSFW has rapidly expanded our education and outreach initiatives.  This past year for the first time in our history, CMSFW presented orchestral education concerts with top-tier players to over 2,000 children! Our growing programs now have four main pillars:

Learning with the Masters, our flagship program, provides young musicians with the opportunity to learn directly from our guest artists who provide insights and inspiration that helps shape their musical journeys. In 2022 the Miro Quartet worked with a diverse group of students from UNT during the Beethoven festival, and last season Marina Piccinini gave an inspiring flute masterclass in collaboration with TCU.

CMSFW2 identifies talented high school and collegiate-age musicians who are on track for professional careers by giving them the opportunity to perform in a highly sought-after venue. The Lourmay Trio thrilled our audiences, and the SiMi Ensemble from the country of Georgia warmed our hearts.

The Building Blocks of Music introduces chamber music to our youngest audiences.  Last year we presented this program over 14 times to students in the Fort Worth ISD, the YMCA, Cook Children's Hospital, and multiple times at the Art of Living Center--an organization providing resources to those experiencing homelessness. An expanded version of this program wa performed for the Glen Rose school District with over 2,000 children attending.

CMSFW is launching our new Family Concert Series at the three main art museums in Fort Worth--The Amon Carter Museum, the Kimbell Art Museum, and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, to provide families access to entertaining and education concerts at reduced rates.

OUTREACH INITIATIVES

We continue to find new ways to reach local audiences with performances at the Beth-El Temple, Stage West, and the North Texas Community Foundation.  Our YouTube platform offers over 160 FREE performance and educational videos with over 65,700 views. And, recognizing the therapeutic benefits of music, we have brought healing music to patients, families, and staff at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center.

Future Educational and Outreach projects include expansion into senior living communities and master classes for local, middle and high school students.

CMSFW continues to grow and strive to achieve new heights presenting the best, most diverse roster and programming in the country. Come to our concerts and you will see our music making and presentation are second to none.

Mission

To promote and present the highest quality chamber music for our city and region, reflecting innovation, creativity in programming, and selection of superior musical artists. To build an informed audience for chamber music, now and in the future, through educational programs in the schools, with our concert series, and through the media.

Needs

WE HAVE A $2500 MATCHING GRANT from an anonymous donor!!

We're excited this season to be expanding our concert programs, from seven to eight, and to have scheduled low-cost family-friendly programs at our three main Fort Worth museums in addition to maintaining our existing three areas of education initiatives.

FUTURE PLANS will expand programming to our oldest generations in senior living facilities and add master classes for middle and high school students.

HELP US to MEET OUR $2500 MATCHING GRANT and fund these expansions in programming and support our continued efforts to reach out to ALL our community members. YOUR DONATION through North Texas Giving Day will provide excellent chamber music to audiences from our youngest kindergarten students to our seniors.

THANK YOU for helping us make this happen in our community.
