The Central Arts mission is to create a space where art lives and grows, providing opportunities to the community through art related events.

Our four pillars are:

1. Artist Development: Through prolific artist exhibition, and opportunities for artist visibility we strengthen, and nurture artist careers. This is our first pillar, because we believe that by encouraging artists careers, we simultaneously create strong community leaders.

2. Affordable Education to the Community: Our artist program costs are kept to the very minimum that we can provide them at monetarily. There are always scholarship , and financial aid available to anyone looking to participate in our programming.

3. Community Outreach: Central Arts brings art to the community where it identifies a need, or it asked to by the community itself. This is includes not only bringing artistic activity into the community, but also beautification efforts, and public art.

4. Economic Development: Not only a belief, but conscious effort put into the activity of the first three pillars combined to strengthen the economy of the community/communities that we seeks to serve.

Giving Activity

Mission

"To create a space where art lives and provides for the community through art related events, educational lessons, and outreach programs."

Needs

Central Arts addresses a growing lack of access to arts education and creative spaces in the Mid-Cities area. As public funding declines and schools cut arts programs, many children have limited opportunities for creative development. At the same time, vacant commercial spaces contribute to community decline.

Our nonprofit transforms underused properties into vibrant cultural hubs, offering free or low-cost art classes, exhibitions, and youth enrichment programs. Demand continues to outpace resources, and no child is ever turned away due to inability to pay. To sustain and expand our impact, we urgently need volunteers, financial donations and quality art materials. Your investment helps us keep the arts accessible and our community thriving!

Equity Statement

At Central Arts, we believe the arts are for everyone. We are committed to creating inclusive, accessible, and equitable spaces where all individuals—regardless of race, income, gender identity, age, ability, or background—can engage with and contribute to the arts.
