Mission

To support education by providing resources to inspire staff and impact student lives.

Needs

Founded in 1904, Cedar Hill Independent School District has a proud legacy of academic excellence, artistic achievement, and athletic success. Our graduates have gone on to attend some of the most prestigious institutions in the nation, including Yale, MIT, UCLA, Texas A&M, and Columbia University. Our nationally recognized Collegiate High School, award-winning marching band, acclaimed theater arts and choir programs, and championship athletic teams are all testament to the potential of our students when given the right support.

Cedar Hill ISD serves a vibrant and diverse community. As a majority-minority district, 64% of our students are economically disadvantaged. Despite these challenges, our students continue to rise; showing promise, talent, and resilience in every classroom and on every stage and field.

This year, the Cedar Hill ISD Education Foundation is focused on two key priorities: literacy and foundation growth. We are seeking support to install book vending machines on our elementary campuses to encourage reading while supporting positive behavior. These machines offer students access to books as both a reward and a gateway to lifelong learning, helping us close the literacy gap at an early age.

In addition, we are in urgent need of capacity funding. Due to recent district-wide budget cuts, the position of our Executive Director, the Foundation’s only staff member, has been defunded. To continue our mission and sustain the critical programs we support, including scholarships, teacher grants, and student enrichment initiatives, we must secure funding to retain leadership and build organizational capacity.

With your support this North Texas Giving Day, we can continue to invest in our students’ futures, building a stronger foundation for learning, leadership, and lifelong success. Together, we can ensure that every student in Cedar Hill has the opportunity to reach their highest potential.
