$1,000 Goal

In 2007 Canine Karma Rescue was born out of necessity. Too many homeless dogs and cats in the local shelter brought the need to help out of us. What started with one Cocker Spaniel named Garbo has become regular visits to the local shelters, taking home hundreds of pets to vet, socialize, and adopt to approved applicants. Today, we spend our time, not just with our adoptable pets, but still visiting local shelters to promote their adoptable pets, as well. As difficult and sad as this work can sometimes be, nothing equates to the joy of receiving updates of adopted pets in their new lives, thriving.

Mission

Canine Karma Rescue is a small, non-profit, all breed rescue group in North Texas. We are committed to caring for and connecting local homeless pets with accepted adopters.

Needs

Dog food is always a necessity, as well are healthy treats. Nyla bones for the dogs to chew on last forever and are highly desirable, as are the fillable Kongs. Thank you!

Equity Statement

Canine Karma Rescue requires potential adopters to complete an application and allow us to check the veterinary background of current and/or previous pets, ensuring up-to-date preventatives and heartworm tests are kept. Adopters are chosen by the criteria of both. CKR also works with several local and not so local shelters helping to lessen euthanasia rates in several counties.
