CAMP FIRE FIRST TEXAS

A nonprofit organization

Invest in a teen's future on North Texas Giving Day.

Lauren is a 9th grader who participated in Camp Fire's Teens in Action On The Move this past summer. During her week in the program, not only did she make authentic connections with her peers, but she also explored opportunities to further her education through college tours at both TCU and Texas Woman's University.

See what she had to say about her Camp Fire experience in this short video.

Lauren has a clearer vision for her college path because of Teens in Action, but that's not the end of the story. Here's where YOU come in!

Your gift on North Texas Giving Day will help to expand Teens in Action to serve even more Fort Worth youth like Lauren. It will allow us to:

🔬 add a S.T.E.A.M program bringing diverse interests to our teens

💼 implement a career speaker series

🎓 start a college scholarship navigation program

🚌 travel to college and career tours

You can be a difference-maker for a teen like Lauren by making a gift on North Texas Giving Day!

Mission

Camp Fire First Texas invests in North Texas communities by providing out-of-school time and outdoor learning programs for children and youth while also offering workforce development programs for the educators who care for them.

We envision a community in which every child has equitable access to the quality learning opportunities they need to succeed and thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Needs

Last year, the community came together on North Texas Giving Day to help us purchase a much-needed bus to ensure teens had access to college, career, and community service experiences.

We know that when teens are introduced to a world of possibilities, they thrive and chart a unique course for their success.

We have the best teen program around, we have a bus to get them there, but we’re not finished!

Your gift on North Texas Giving Day can help a teen continue their educational journey.

Equity Statement

We welcome, affirm, and support young people and adults of all abilities and disabilities, experiences, races, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, religion and non-religion, citizenship and immigration status, and any other category people use to define themselves or others. We strive to create safe and inclusive environments that celebrate diversity and foster positive relationships.
