$25,000 Goal

Camp Sweeney is not just a summer camp, it's a way of living. Our goal is not only to teach campers how to manage their diabetes, but also to instill in them the motivation to do so. Over 65 years of experience has taught us that it takes time to accomplish this goal. 19 days of forming healthy habits, instilling confidence, and building friendships allows camper to return home with a renewed sense of self, strengthened by the knowledge they have gained and the relationships they have developed.

Our Needs

Camp Sweeney's biggest need is camperships or financial aid dollars for families in need. Our program provides three weeks of residential camp along with 24-hour medical care as well as diabetes and nutritional instruction. Over $900,000 in financial aid is awarded annually.

Mission

Camp Sweeney's mission is to help children, ages 5-19 who have diabetes or who are at risk of developing diabetes, acquire the principles of diabetic management necessary to prevent both long-term and short-term complications of their metabolic disorder.
