CASA of North Texas was chartered in 1999 and has had the privilege of advocating for Cooke County children and families for over 26 years. We have a strong volunteer base and are historically known for taking care of children. Our scope addresses children, infancy to 18-year-olds, that are legally removed from unsafe environments involving abuse and/or neglect and placed in foster care. We are fortunate to be able to serve 100% of these children. Our volunteer advocates are willing to stand in the gap on behalf of each of these children and participated in finding permanency for twenty-nine children in 2023-2024 and fifteen so far in 2024-2025.

CASA has always been child centered. We ensure each child in care has a designated committed adult protecting and caring specifically for their best interest, while preventing them from falling into the cracks and legal shuffle of foster care. Our advocates research each case, monitor how each child is doing in his/her placement, seek extended family, learn the family dynamics, and report if the parents are making the required efforts to allow a SAFE return of their children. We are the only agency in Cooke County legally appointed to bring children and families together.

Investing in CASA of North Texas is overall beneficial to our county and area families. Your donation could help make a BIG IMPACT on the children of Cooke County. You are a blessing to stand up with us for the sake of these children.

Our Needs

We realize that everyone has many responsibilities and financial obligations that demand their attention.
We appreciate your endless vigilance in listening for the small faint cries of a child in need. We also want to thank you for supporting CASA of North Texas and our mission. Without the backing of local entities and individuals, like yourself, we would not be able to continue to provide advocacy for the children in need. We appreciate you and all you do for our area communities.

Giving Activity

Mission

CASA of North Texas provides Volunteer Advocates to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in protective foster care until each has a safe, loving and permanent home.

Needs

With your support, we've been able to help bring a sense of normalcy to the lives of children in care. Thanks to your generosity, we've provided essential items such as car seats, baby beds, diapers, clothing, and back-to-school supplies. We've also been able to help cover costs for activities and milestones that many children take for granted—like sports registration fees, senior pictures, school t-shirts, and more.

For children in care, life can often feel anything but normal. Simple experiences that most kids enjoy can seem out of reach. That’s why we are so passionate about stepping in to meet these needs whenever we can.

With your support, we hope to continue helping the children of Cooke County feel seen, supported, and a little more like every other kid.

Equity Statement

We believe that every child—regardless of their circumstances—deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and experience the same joys and milestones as their peers. Children in care often face challenges that can create barriers to these experiences.

Our commitment to equity means we work to remove those barriers by providing support that meets both basic needs and the meaningful moments that help children feel included, valued, and “normal.”
