This North Texas Giving Day, we invite you to join in the transformative power of just one day of Texas-sized giving, to help create a safer tomorrow for children and families right here in our community.

What Is a Children's Advocacy Center?
Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County (CACRC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization serving children victimized by sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, or having witnessed a violent crime. We offer a safe, secure, confidential & child-friendly environment where the healing process can begin. When a child experiences abuse, neglect, trafficking, or has witnessed a violent crime in Rockwall County, they are taken to the CACRC. Here, they will receive a trauma-informed, child-friendly forensic interview conducted by a skilled interviewer. Their non-offending family members will receive the support they need with our family advocacy services, and all will have access to trauma-informed therapy, helping pave a pathway toward the bright future every child deserves. All services are provided free of charge.
The Need in Rockwall County:
In 2024, the CACRC served over 600 unduplicated children and family members in Rockwall County. With 1 in every 10 children experiencing sexual abuse before their 18th birthday, our team is dedicated to awareness and prevention in the community through educational programs for adults and students. The CACRC works closely with our multi-disciplinary team of law enforcement, medical professionals, Child Protective Services, and prosecutors to ensure families who have experienced abuse receive every service needed to take action and begin the healing process.
