About Building Pathways
Building Pathways is a nonprofit organization based in Fort Worth, Texas, dedicated to creating equitable access to career opportunities in the construction and skilled trades industries. We serve young adults ages 16–24 who are disconnected from education and employment, many of whom face significant systemic barriers, including poverty, housing instability, and involvement with the justice or foster care systems.
Our Approach
Building Pathways blends technical training with wraparound services to ensure long-term success. Participants gain industry-recognized credentials, mentorship from professionals, and access to resources that address barriers such as transportation, childcare, or housing. Our model is intentionally relationship-centered, trauma-informed, and driven by real-time labor market data and employer input.
Our Impact
Since our inception, Building Pathways has helped young adults reengage in education or employment. With strong outcomes in job placement and program completion, we continue to refine and scale our model to meet growing workforce needs while uplifting the next generation of trades professionals.
Our Vision for the Future
As we expand programming and deepen partnerships across the region, we are focused on building stronger pathways—both literal and figurative—into the trades. We are actively working to grow our employer network, launch specialized training tracks, and secure sustainable funding to support our students long after graduation.
Why Your Support Matters
With your investment, we can expand access to training, remove systemic barriers, and provide the critical supports our participants need to succeed. Together, we can build not only pathways, but futures—brick by brick, life by life.
