Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Central Region

A nonprofit organization

Tzu Chi USA’s Central Region Dallas, Texas, office is based in Richardson, Texas, and was established here in 1992. Two of the many key services we provide are Character Education and disaster relief. Tzu Chi Dallas has been part of Texas VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) since 2006 to provide disaster relief to those in need. Past relief efforts included fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas and tornado emergency relief I Moore, Oklahoma, benefitting over 2,500 people.

Our Needs

Since 2002, we have given out more than 90,000 new uniforms to students from disadvantaged families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our distributions take place directly in schools, and are a welcome event that is greatly appreciated by teachers, parents, and the children who love to get new things, especially since they can seem like a luxury for these families. With your support, we can maintain and expand our programs to help an increasing number of disadvantaged children. Your support also makes disaster relief missions possible. Please help us provide assistance to people when misfortune turns their lives upside down.

Tzu Chi is an international humanitarian organization whose missions is to relieve the suffering of those in need, and create a better world for all. In Chinese, tzu means compassion, and chi relief: With open hearts and helping hands, our volunteers are here to serve you.

Help Heal Maui: Support Families Impacted by the Hawaii Wildfires

Tzu Chi Relief volunteers have swiftly mobilized in the face of this unprecedented challenge. We are collaborating closely with the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, and local agencies to provide immediate aid. Furthermore, we are planning emergency cash card distributions to support those most affected by this disaster directly.

Till September 30, all donations to ‘Help Heal Maui’ will be matched up to $1 million. Amplify your contribution and double the impact.
