We believe in honoring a dog first as an animal, second as a dog, third as their breed and then we can have the family pet. Almost all of our dogs have basic behaviorial work such as crate training, loose leash walk, treadmill trained, manners at thresholds, and place work. All of our dogs have been socialized with small packs, and do well with other dogs that have been matched intentionally.
We are currently looking for experienced fosters, social media coordinator and other volunteer roles.
Buddha and the Bull Rescue is an all breed rescue that believes all dogs have a unique set of personalities and needs, and their homes should be conducive to those needs. Our beliefs are grounded in the study of dog psychology and behavior, and that every moment with our dog is a training moment. Through education, we hope to encourage proper pet ownership and end the cycle of pet abandonment and overpopulation of shelters.
