The Bridge is a Homeless Recovery Center for individuals without a home in Dallas County. Our doors are open twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week, and is the only shelter in Dallas providing day shelter services to all adults experiencing homelessness. The Bridge offers basic needs services including hot showers, nutritious meals, and haircuts, as well as intensive services such as physical and mental health evaluations and care management services for almost 600 Guests every day and night shelter for 300 Guests each night. Through collaborative relationships with homeless services partners, The Bridge creates a one-stop-shop experience that enhances a Guest’s ability to implement a Care and Housing Plan, or strategy for exiting homelessness.
When you give to The Bridge, you ensure that we can continue to provide our services at NO COST to help our Guests recover from homelessness.
The mission of The Bridge is to empower adults experiencing homelessness in Dallas with the tools to homeless recovery as they move into sustainable housing.
Our mission is carried out through connecting our Guests to a care manager who provides 1-on-1 assistance for basic hygiene services, day and night shelter, 3 nutritious meals a day, medical and behavioral health care, a kennel for our Guests' dogs, employment services, and housing services to hundreds of adults experiencing homelessness each day. The Bridge is a recognized model for adult homeless recovery in Dallas and is open to all adults, providing a safe harbor 24 hours each day, 365 days a year.
