Black Sheep Art Culture Inc. dba Daisha Board Gallery is a Black woman-owned contemporary art gallery and cultural organization committed to centering underrepresented voices in the arts. We champion artists who are Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, and disabled through dynamic exhibitions, arts education, public programming, and community partnerships.

Founded on principles of equity, access, and cultural sustainability, our mission is to challenge traditional art world systems by creating intentional spaces where overlooked narratives are not only seen but celebrated. Whether through curated gallery shows, community workshops, or pioneering initiatives like the UNREPPED Art Fair, we work to ensure that art is a tool for transformation, justice, and visibility.

Black Sheep Art Culture Inc. is fiscally sponsored by The Performance Zone Inc. DBA The Field, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, allowing all donations to be fully tax-deductible and mission-aligned.

Giving Activity

Mission

Black Sheep Art Culture Inc. dba Daisha Board Gallery exists to amplify the voices of underrepresented artists—particularly those who are Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, and disabled—through transformative exhibitions, education, and community engagement. We are committed to challenging systemic inequities in the art world by creating accessible platforms, fostering sustainable careers, and cultivating spaces where diverse narratives can thrive and inspire.

Needs

Black Sheep Art Culture Inc. dba Daisha Board Gallery is seeking support to expand its impact and sustainability as a cultural leader for underrepresented artists in North Texas and beyond. Our most urgent needs include:

• Funding for Artist Stipends & Exhibitions: To provide fair compensation, materials, and production support for emerging and mid-career BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled artists.

• Arts Education & Community Programming: To develop accessible workshops, artist talks, youth engagement, and mentorship opportunities that nurture the next generation of creatives.

• Operational Support: To sustain a lean but impactful team and maintain a flexible gallery space that serves as a hub for innovation, dialogue, and cultural exchange.

• Technology & Accessibility Improvements: To invest in digital platforms, virtual exhibition tools, and accessibility services that make our programming available to broader and more diverse audiences.

With your support, we can continue to challenge inequity in the arts, uplift marginalized voices, and cultivate a vibrant, inclusive creative ecosystem. Every contribution directly fuels this mission.

Equity Statement

Equity in the Arts: Uplifting Voices, Reshaping Culture

Overview:

At Black Sheep Art Culture Inc. dba Daisha Board Gallery, equity isn’t a buzzword — it’s the foundation of everything we do. Our Equity Campaign is a call to action: to resource the creative brilliance of artists who have historically been excluded from the mainstream art world. This includes Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, and disabled artists whose stories shape the culture but are often denied visibility, opportunity, and investment.

Campaign Goals:

We are raising $100,000 to support:

• Living-Wage Artist Stipends

Ensuring that artists are paid fairly for their creative labor across exhibitions, commissions, and public programs.

• Community-Based Arts Education

Offering accessible workshops, youth mentorships, and intergenerational learning opportunities led by practicing artists of color.

• Accessible and Inclusive Gallery Programming

Expanding access through ASL interpretation, audio description, digital exhibitions, and multilingual materials.

• Professional Development and Career Support

Providing artists with the tools, networks, and guidance they need to build sustainable careers in the arts.

Why It Matters:

Equity in the arts doesn’t happen by accident — it happens through intentional investment. By contributing to this campaign, you are directly funding a future where art reflects the full spectrum of human experience. A future where Black and brown artists aren’t just invited into the room, but are owning the space.

How You Can Help:

• Donate what you can — every dollar is a step toward equity.

• Share our campaign with your community and be an advocate for inclusive arts.

Fiscal Sponsor:

Black Sheep Art Culture Inc. operates under the fiscal sponsorship of The Performance Zone Inc. DBA The Field, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible
