Better Block’s vision is simple - Public Spaces by, and with people! Neighborhoods are centers of life and our plan is to apply thoughtful concepts of urban design to transform these hubs into thriving, green spaces. We have served communities in Dallas and close to our home like Mckinney, Garland, Richardson; Nationally in states like Colorado, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Washington, Oklahoma, Georgia, California, Wisconsin and international locations Dublin, Melbourne, ….
We re-activate empty blighted lots, parking spaces, boarded up buildings and other public utilities like sidewalks and streets through a 120- day community- driven better block project.
We collaborate with local leaders for our projects, focused on addressing issues related to economic development, walkability, public safety, greenery, and health in ways that are thoughtful.
Better Block Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that educates, equips, and empowers communities and their leaders to reshape and reactivate built environments to promote the growth of healthy and vibrant neighborhoods.
Our projects come together successfully with a combination of multiple elements and our team is passionate and talented!

Better Block has deep roots in communities. We often work with individuals, families and grassroot groups who live, work and play in neighborhoods that have been disenfranchised for long periods of time. We partner with them to remind them of their agency and power in transforming their lives. Our partners face a host of challenges in relation to poverty, health, equity, access to opportunity and safety but aspire and work hard towards a better quality of life. It is our mission to empower them in their quest to flourish.
