Bethesda Christian School (BCS) is a calling preparatory school in Fort Worth, Texas. As a private Christian serving preschool-12th grade, Bethesda's Christ-centered programs equip students in achieving excellence in academics, fine arts, athletics, and service in the community, while consistently building and cultivating strong character.

Beginning in our preschool program, our students are empowered to exceed expectations both in the classroom and in every aspect of their lives. Purposeful character development, advanced academic curriculum, and award-winning fine art and athletic experiences equip students for college, ministry, and other life callings. BCS students are well-rounded, prepared young adults who have hearts to serve the Lord and find fulfillment in accomplishing God's purposes.

BCS is an evangelical, interdenominational school with selective admissions. We have served students in the Keller, Saginaw, Hurst, Haslet, Bedford, Euless, Arlington, Fort Worth, and surrounding areas in Tarrant County for over 40 years. A ministry of Bethesda Community Church, BCS started in 1980 and is led by a leadership team of passionate educators with over 80 years of combined experience.

Our Mission is to provide a quality Christ-centered education preparing students for their life callings. Our Vision is to help each student increase in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.

Needs

The BCS Gymnasium is the largest space on our campus, aside from the Sanctuary, and the most frequently used both during the week by our preschool-12th students and by our multi-ethnic services on the weekends. The technology, especially the scoreboard, utilized in this space is obsolete and replacement parts are no longer available. In order to effectively utilize this space in the long term, not only for our award-winning elementary, middle, and high school athletic programs but for the Bethesda community as a whole, we are raising $50,000 to invest in the purchase and installment of a new LED board in our gym. Logistically, this upgrade will increase the functionality, flexibility, and longevity of our gym, as we will no longer need to rent or move from other places in our facility more updated technology to successfully host competitions, activities, and events. Aesthetically, it is much cleaner and concise than the old scoreboards and manually manipulated roster lists now on our walls. An LED board will enhance athletic games by creating a more engaging and professional environment for our student-athletes. It will transform the space into a more welcoming, engaging environment for recognition banquets, proms/dances, pep rallies, week-day P.E. classes, summer camps, Roary's Annual Pickleball Palooza, and other activities such as Grandparents Day and Veterans Day celebrations that bring our entire community together. The possibilities are endless and the returns - elevated student and family experiences, increased school spirit, and meaningful memories - are invaluable!
