This is our first time on NTX Giving Day and would like to say thank you for looking at our page.
Over 30 years of Military service is shown in these photos and the one thing they all have in common, other than their service, is Bella Vita Rescue(BVR). 22 Military Members commit suicide on a daily basis, due to PTSD and we at BVR are working to help stop this unthinkable ending.

At BVR, we rescue equine from the kill pen pipeline and treat them medically. Once they are medically cleared, we begin working with them to teach them to love and be loved again. It is only after all of this, that we then use the equine as PTSD animals for Military Members and First Responders. It is our way of trying to lower the number of suicides/day from 22, to hopefully, one day, 0!
This year we are attempting to raise $36,950 so we can keep BVR running. None of the raised money goes towards land costs, paying of bills, or paying of board members; their work is strictly voluntary. Every dollar goes towards the animals and the Members! We are also trying to do something very special and unique for us. We found a homeless Army Veteran who was down on his luck, but a very good man. So, we purchased him a small camper to live in, on the BVR property and he helps with our everyday needs. Well, the camper is falling apart and we'd like to purchase him a $16,000 building to live in, on our property; for life. It will cost another $4,000 to build out the inside of the building, but I can do it on my own and will not need to hire anyone. This unique goal alone will take up $20,000 of our needed $36,950, leaving $8,000 for the bare minimum, annual BVR costs, and another $8,950 for a new Meet and Greet Loafing Shed where our Veterans do 80% of their work.
We currently have $1,302.49 in our account and that is just enough to purchase winter hay for the equine this year. The normal budget of $8,000 goes towards, Farrier visits, Vet costs and call outs, feed, hay, annual shots, wormer, as well as the cost of keeping up the equipment needed to run our everyday implements. Also, we rescue equine that need to be put down and do this on purpose in order to give them a dignified death. A portion of our budget goes towards that as well. In the last three years, we've rescued three horses, knowing they needed to be put down. Two from cancer, one from being lame and irreversible; she was in terrible pain! I think it is important to note that it usually costs over $1,000 to rescue one equine from the kill pen pipeline and if they need to be put down in a dignified manner, it costs another $800. Rescuing is not a cheap process, but a worthy one, especially when you see them healthy and loving again, along with the smiles put on Military Members faces!
We ask that you open your hearts to our organization and donate what you can! Thank you for any and all considerations!
