Bella Gardens Early Learning Center is a nonprofit micro-preschool providing affordable childcare and support to families in East Dallas. Our nature-based, bilingual educational program incorporates practical life, culinary arts, agriculture, art and a strong social/emotional component with rich outdoor play. We offer a mixed age environment, with lower than standard student teacher ratios.
We provide quality early childcare to underserved families, thoughtfully designed to support child, family, and teacher well-being and advancement. Empowering through education, in an environment that promotes peace and flourishing.
Bella Gardens was built on three pillars:
• keeping tuition as affordable as possible for families
• maintaining low ratios so children receive individualized attention
• paying teachers in a way that reflects the value of their work
That model is important, but it also means we rely on community support to sustain it. We are launching a fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $60,000. These funds will go directly toward teacher wages, classroom materials, and scholarships for families who need support. Families do contribute to tuition, but many of the families we serve simply cannot cover the full cost of care. This is where donations make the difference.
At Bella Gardens, equity is the foundation of our work. We believe every family deserves access to high-quality early childcare, regardless of income, background, or circumstance.
Our program is intentionally designed to remove barriers. Through sliding-scale tuition, culturally responsive learning, and a focus on community, we support families who are often left out, those navigating the gap between public assistance and the high cost of private care.
We are committed to building a model where children are supported, families are valued, and educators are fairly compensated. This is how we begin to create a more just and accessible early childhood system for our community.
