Beckles Dancing Company has been an active and present company in our community for over 29 years and has made a vital and lasting contribution as a company. Our company, housed in the South Dallas Cultural Center (SDCC), has produced works in our area that have been critically reviewed and featured in publications as artists and companies in the Dallas area.
The current Beckles Dancing Company ranges in age from 22-52 years old. Our success has been weaving this age gap into a powerful ensemble of artists. Our live performances this past year have been, South Dallas Dance Festival, Shades of Black for Black History Month, Dance Planet with the Dance Council of North Texas, First Draft with Over the Bridge Arts, Dance Planet, numerous CAP (Community Artist Program) and our annual Spring Show. We also provide free zoom and in-person classes, BALLET and MODERN on Wednesday and Friday that are open to the community.

The mission of Beckles Dancing Company (BDC / Dancing is our middle name!) is to provide a platform in which performers and audiences of all ages are inspired to celebrate the techniques, creative powers and unlimited expressions of dance movement.
