As one of the poorest large cities in the U.S., Dallas’s southern sector communities face devastating rates of chronic illness, disability, and justice system involvement—driven by unaddressed trauma, persistent stress, and lack of access to care. The five ZIP codes with the deepest health disparities are concentrated in this southern sector, where the need is greatest.

Be Natural Music Therapy and Wellness is stepping into this gap with holistic, trauma-informed, culturally responsive programs that teach emotional self-regulation, foster healthy self-expression, stress reduction skills to prevent or manage long-term health issues, and strengthen overall well-being. Through music, movement, and creative expression, we give a voice to those who are too often unheard -----helping them build resilience, restore hope, and take charge of their mental and physical health.

We also break down stigma and provide advocacy and education by offering Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training. This powerful certification equips adults and teens to recognize when someone is in crisis, offer meaningful support, and connect them to critical resources. It’s more than training—it’s a lifeline for entire communities.

“Be Natural” may be small, but every dollar has a big impact. Your gift provides scholarships for teens and adults, funds instruments for community programs, and expands lifesaving mental health education. Together, we can fuel lasting change—strengthening individuals, families, and communities across southern Dallas.

The need is urgent. The time to act is now.

Giving Activity

Mission

Improve the mental and physical health outcomes of the underserved -one individual, one family, one community at a time.

Needs

Why Your Support Matters

Every dollar you give creates direct access to wellness for underserved communities in southern Dallas County. Your generosity provides:

Scholarships for Teens and Adults – covering tai chi classes or the manuals and participant fees for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification classes.

Expanded Community Impact – funding the training of additional MHFA instructors so more classes can be offered across the community.

Essential Program Tools – purchasing percussion instruments for meditation and drumming groups that foster stress relief, connection, and resilience.

Be Natural Music Therapy and Wellness urgently needs your support to sustain and grow these critical programs. Your gift doesn’t just fund services—it equips individuals with lifelong coping strategies, emotional regulation tools, and safe spaces for expression and growth.

Together, we can strengthen resilience, restore hope, and create lasting change.

Equity Statement

Be Natural champions inclusive, community-rooted advocacy, education, and support for individuals of all abilities. We stand firmly against discrimination of any kind—embracing every culture, gender, age, and belief system. We believe every person deserves the opportunity to experience mental wellness, build healthy relationships, unlock their full potential, and lead a purposeful, empowered life.
