The Bruce Foote Memorial Scholarship Foundation, established in 1995 provides significant financial assistance throughout the year to singers of any gender, race or ethnicity for excellence in singing. However, the Foote Awards have been given since 1989. Since it's inception, the Bruce Foote Memorial Scholarship Foundation was awarded scholarships for tuition, housing, food, clothing and medical care in excess of $1MM.

The Foote Foundation provides support for talented singers with limited or no financial means who are deserving of the opportunity to perfect their craft through advanced study at Southern Methodist University in preparation for a career in the performing arts.
