Artists Round Texas

Today school children have many interests to choose from as they grow and experience school instruction. Not everyone can be a varsity athlete, an accomplished musician, math whiz, or novelist. The visual arts are a proven and powerful tool as part of encouraging motor skills, and problem solving abilities, which will last into their adult lifes.
        Careers that require using the visual arts, whether hands-on media or computer graphics, offers many career avenues such as: architectural design, medical illustration, animation, printing, industrial design, container design, photography, engineering, videography, movies, clothing design, and advertising -  just to name a few.
       Artists ‘Round Texas (A.R.T.) is a visual arts organization, supporting artists in our area for over 25 years. Presently we organize and host two professional juried art shows a year, take organized field trips to local galleries and museums, and provide monthly art programs at the Rowlett Community Centre that demonstrate the range of media for the visual arts.
       A.R.T. Funding. 85% of our budget comes from members dues. Though our funds are limited, we supplement it with grants from the city of Rowlett.
       A.R.T.’s future goal is to inspire adults with visual art programs and support elementary school children with the necessary visual art supplies for their class room. Though COVID slowed that process, we also plan to provide art scholarships, judged and awarded to deserving students who want to make a career in the visual arts and those adults wanting to step into the visual art possibilities for a career.
      Please consider making Artists ‘Round Texas a part of your North Texas Giving Day. You will assist A.R.T.’s efforts to support the visual arts, from student’s early learning experiences to professional adult art careers. You will also give more people in the area access to be able to experience the joy and creativity of the visual arts.
