Ark House

Ark House provides fully furnished apartments in the North Dallas area. Apartments come fully equipped with kitchen utensils, linens, cable TV, everything to make a guests feel like this is their home-away-from-home. 

Ark House is an all-volunteer organization. There is NO paid staff; all money collected goes to support the Ark House operations. In 2025, we expect to provide nearly 5,000 days of stay for our guests, all of whom are referred to us by social workers from local Dallas hospitals. 

We serve a wide variety of ethnicity, gender, and age clients and their families. Medical needs range from cancer treatments, complex heart care, organ transplants, accident recovery, and treatments for long term illnesses. Preparing to celebrate our 40th anniversary this fall, we've welcomed clientele from across Texas, numerous other states, as well as from a number of foreign countries. We charge a nominal daily fee for the apartment to make Ark House affordable by the broadest range of guests. Our operating expenses are approximately $45.00 a day per apartment, so additional operating funds are needed to cover the difference between guest payments and our actual cost of providing an Ark House apartment to maintain an affordable cost for the patients and families we serve. All funds raised go to cover the cost of renting and maintaining a quality, home-like environment for our clients.
