ARISE! is a small organization doing big things!
We provide clients with a community of safe people in a safe environment that is accepting, encouraging, supportive and caring in order to address the abuse from the past. Being believed and heard allows individuals to communicate their thoughts and feelings thereby commencing the healing process. As clients face the pain of their abuse, in time they can reclaim their voice and power which allows them to take control of their life and live out their desires and dreams, impact legislation to change laws for sexual assault survivors as well as advocate for themselves and others.
Our faith is a key element in our mission to glorify God by showing the love of Jesus Christ as we support and help survivors of sexual violence heal emotionally, socially and spiritually from the devastating effects of inappropriate sexual behavior through the facilitation of support groups.
Our agency does not receive government funding. We depend on contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations to support our mission. Our Fall semester begins Tuesday, August 16, 2022 and we need donations to help clients who will enroll in our program but need financial assistance.
By sponsoring a survivor you give the gift of recovery that will financially support adult female survivors of child sexual abuse for a semester (15 weeks) with a safe, supportive community and safe people in order to heal emotionally, socially and spiritually. We facilitate our groups in the Spring and Fall semesters with a maximum of eight participants. Our goal is to raise $5000.00 to help assist clients who need monetary assistance as well as to have the needed funds to host our semi-annual graduation ceremony, Silent NO More! Awards Ceremony, in honor of graduates and their commitment to our recovery program.
Since 2020, with the onset of COVID our impact has expanded outside of the parameters of Dallas, Texas. We now have domestic outreach in nine additional states. We are providing virtual support groups with clients in all four time zones. We would like to expand our reach even further by providing additional support groups so we are able to reach more survivors in the United States ensuring that every survivor has a community of support.
