$5,000 Goal

We are a small non staff organization with a big heart. In the past seven years we have distributed monetary gifts of over $20,500 indirectly and directly to advocacy agencies in support of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We honor survivors and advocacy agencies throughout the year but mostly during our annual event that is held on the second Saturday in May of each year. We call it the “Survivors' Luncheon.” This is our approach to giving back to the community and making a huge impact in the fight against domestic violence and sexual assault financially, as we raise financial support, awareness, and stand against these issues in the Southern sector of Dallas County. The Survivors' Luncheon is held in Duncanville, TX at the Hilton Garden Inn. We have impacted over 500 individuals and helped the community to become more aware of the need to help these families and stand against the violence. Everyone leaves our event informed and empowered. A diverse group attends the Survivors' Luncheon. As we grow, future events will be geared more toward providing resources and may also include seminars and workshops. Please join us in this endeavor.

Mission

Annie's Gifts of Love Charitable Foundation, Inc. was established in 2015 in memory of Annie Bell Cage, who lived in domestic violence for 25 years. Our mission is to impact the community by raising awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault, by encouraging survivors and those who advocate for them, and by serving as a funding source for advocacy agencies primarily in the Southern sector of Dallas County. Our ultimate goal is to help eradicate family violence one survivor at a time. This is accomplished as we assist indirectly in rebuilding the lives of survivors by providing tangible resources through our survivors' luncheon and financial assistance to those agencies who are in the trenches offering hope and healing to a growing number of women and families who need their services. The need to provide hope and healing is great in America and the world as one in four women are touched by domestic violence every day. Therefore, the need to help these families rebuild their lives is a never-ending challenge. Thus, we have a tremendous opportunity to make a huge impact in the under served area of Dallas County. Please join us in this endeavor with your generous gift. đź’ś

Needs

We raise financial support to accomplish our mission. We are a non staff organization. So all work is done by volunteers. We need $5,000.00 to keep us strong. Our major projects for 2024 is to sponsor the 8th Annual Survivors' Luncheon and continue to give gifts to advocacy agencies. In order for an organization or agency to receive a gift they have to apply online. For more information on the application process visit www.anniesgiftsoflove.org.

Equity Statement

Each year we underwrite the cost for a Free Survivors’ Luncheon. We average 85 attendees over the past 7 years. We also made gift distributions to agencies in the southern section of Dallas County. In 2023 we distributed $2,250 to organizations to help survivors live abuse free. We spent $1,500 on marketing, give away items and related costs. We would love to replenish our funds so that we can underwrite the 2024 Survivors’ luncheon. Our goal is to replenish our funds so that our mission continues.
