Alex Sanger Preparatory serves more than 800 students and families from vibrant East Dallas neighborhoods, including Forest Hills, Little Forest Hills, Emerald Isle, and Casa Linda. We are proud to be the only public school in East Dallas offering a continuous Pre-K3 through 8th grade education. We are committed to equity, academic excellence, and nurturing the whole child. Our campus is known for its adaptability, innovation, and strong sense of community. Our PTA's mission is to serve our school by raising money for programs, organizing events to enrich the lives of Sanger families, and support our staff so the Alex Sanger community can thrive.
At Alex Sanger Preparatory, we pride ourselves on delivering a high-caliber educational experience that fosters intellectual growth, creativity, and critical thinking. Our commitment to excellence is evident in the success and achievements of our students and the dedication of our educators. However, to maintain and elevate this standard, it is essential to continuously invest in both student enrichment programs and teacher support initiatives.
The Alex Sanger Preparatory PTA works tirelessly to help bridge funding gaps between what the school district's funding provides and what is needed on our diverse campus for higher academic achievement. We aim to support world-class education that fosters equity through dual language proficiency and student leadership, preparing our students to become globally-minded scholars who are equipped to make a positive impact in their communities and the world.
The Alex Sanger PTA helps fund a wide range of programs, events, and resources throughout the school year to support students, teachers, and the school community. These include:
- Classroom Support: Supplies, materials, grants for teachers
- Teacher & Staff Appreciation: Meals, treats, gifts, and recognition events throughout the year
- Community Events: The PTA hosts several community-building events including Back to School Bash throughout the year.
- Campus Improvements: Beautification projects, outdoor learning spaces including the Sanger Community Garden
- Student Enrichment: Cultural arts programs, after school program grants, Field Day, field trips and more
- Technology & Resources: Educational software and curriculum
By investing in these key areas, the PTA helps maintain the high educational standards at Alex Sanger Preparatory and ensures that every student and teacher has the support they need to thrive. Together, we can continue to build a dynamic and enriching educational community that prepares our students for success in the future.
Widely recognized within DISD for its commitment to inclusivity and diversity, Alex Sanger Preparatory’s ability to cultivate partnerships within the community has been vital to its continued improvement. As a Title I campus, our school has successfully closed the funding gap in key areas, ensuring that all students have access to equal opportunities for learning and growth.
