The Adaptive Training Foundation's vision is to be the catalyst of change for wounded veterans and others who have experienced traumatic injuries as they transform their lives through exercise and community. Individuals experience a 36% increase in psychological health, a 23 % increase in self-confidence, and an 89% decrease in overall pain after attending ATF’s programming.
The Void
The Adaptive Training Foundation (ATF) has identified a void. People who have experienced a traumatic injuries struggle to find a way advance their physical and mental capacity post-rehabilitation. After life was flipped upside down, they are left to navigate the world in an unfamiliar body, often feeling isolated while seeking to overcome mental hurdles that come with a traumatic injury. Their biggest question is, NOW WHAT?
Our Calling
ATF exists for those living with traumatic impairments who are searching for what comes next after rehabilitation. We’ve built a community where adaptive athletes can rediscover who they are, rebuild their confidence, and rewrite what’s possible. Having walked alongside more than 400 adaptive athletes, we know healing isn’t just physical - it’s about feeding the mind, body, and soul. ATF gives adaptive athletes the space and permission to grow, to belong, and to find strength in who they are today while reaching for who they want to become.
Mission
Adaptive Training Foundation provides access and inclusion to Veterans and individuals living with physical or traumatic impairments by empowering them through exercise and community.
Needs
At ATF, we exist to fill a critical gap for people living with traumatic impairments - the space after rehabilitation, when the question becomes, “Now what?” For many adaptive athletes, that next step isn’t clear.
That’s why we’ve built a community where healing goes beyond the physical - redefining who they are mind, body, and soul - alongside a others who have gone through similar situations. In additional, all of our programs are 100% cost-free.
