At Altruistic our programs are designed to serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Altruistic is a thriving community where adults are equipped, supported, and celebrated for who they are.
We believe that every individual, regardless of physical or intellectual ability, carries inherent worth and potential. At Altruistic, clients participate in a diverse array of activities tailored to their interests and needs. Activities like art, music, life skills, recreational outings, and so much more. Our team fosters an environment in which adults feel both challenged and encouraged, promoting independence while ensuring that support and compassion are always close at hand.
The program’s core is built upon relationships among clients, staff, and families and a sense of belonging that transcends labels or limitations. Here, everyone is invited to contribute, to learn, and to grow in ways that honor both their individuality and their membership in a larger community.

Needs
Altruistic currently operates programs across separate spaces, each tailored to specific levels of need. The organization has a facility large enough to host two distinct programs simultaneously. Our goal is to begin this project the end of 2026. Reducing our on-campus space will help expand off-campus activities and lower operational costs. Our goal is to outfit this space to support a unified, integrated approach. Merging programs into a single location encourages cross-program collaboration among staff and clients.
