The Alliance Française de Dallas is a dynamic educational and cultural 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to promote the French language and Francophone cultures throughout the metroplex. Incorporated in Texas in 1972, the Alliance is one of the many Alliances Françaises across the globe — 829 in 135 countries, and more than 100 in the USA alone.
At AF Dallas, we offer French language classes for all ages and levels taught by native and certified French instructors. We are the only testing center in Texas offering official certifications such as DELF, TEF and DFP taken by those who wish to study abroad or pursue professional goals.
We host and participate in a wide range of French cultural activities throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including concerts, book clubs, lectures, film screenings, wine tastings, cooking classes, and immersive workshops.
Some of our recent events include a discussion and book signing of The Girl on the Left with our former director Béatrice Recoussine, as well as the second annual Fête de la Musique in DFW.
A highlight of this year’s celebration was a special edition of Fête de la Musique, featuring seven-time Grammy-nominated jazz violinist Scott Tixier. This free concert was open to the entire DFW community and continues our mission to make French culture accessible to all.
Whether you are a native or fluent French speaker, a student of the language, or an interested non-French speaker, we encourage EVERYONE in the North Texas community to participate in our wide range of French classes and cultural activities offered throughout the year!
