Every day in North Texas, thousands of children go to bed hungry — not because their parents don’t care, but because the paycheck runs out before the month does. In fact, 1 in 5 children in North Texas facces food insecurity, unsure where their next meal will come from.
At 5 Loaves Ministries, we see those faces every week — kids receiving weekend meal bags, parents quietly holding back tears of relief, seniors grateful for one less worry on their plates. Last year alone, we served more than 174,000 individuals, including hundreds of children who rely on us for consistent, nutritious food.

Founded in 2015, 5 Loaves became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2017. Since then, it has grown in both the scope of its services and the respect it holds within the community.
