Children on the Mend Inc. (COTM) is a dynamic non-profit organization, established in 2000, dedicated to empowering youth and young adults through advocacy, mentoring, and intervention. Our diverse board brings together over forty years of rich experience across legal, criminal justice, education, clinical therapy, social services, and administration.  At COTM, we believe in the power of community. Our programs illustrate the importance of giving back, forming vital partnerships with Juvenile Justice, and Young Adult Parole and Probation programs. These collaborations, along with our strong relationships with various community agencies and reentry services, enable us to provide tailored support to those we serve. We create comprehensive pre- and post-case management plans that address the unique needs of each client, recognizing that today’s youth and young adults often grapple with the pressures of social media, emotional volatility, and the tendency to act out.

Our true passion lies in nurturing these young individuals, equipping them with essential tools to overcome negative behaviors through cognitive-behavioral training. Our extensive outreach includes transformative initiatives such as in-school and after-school mentoring programs, our beloved Christmas Angel Tree supporting 1,200 underprivileged families, and exciting annual Back-to-School Fairs. We’ve also organized unforgettable field trips to local professional games and provided scholarships for higher education, positively impacting over 10,200 students since 2016.  Furthermore, our commitment to public health shines through our FREE community Health Fairs, which in 2021 alone facilitated over 2,440 children's immunizations and numerous adult vaccinations. This is a testament to our unwavering dedication to fostering a healthier, brighter future for our community. Together, we are making a profound difference in the lives of youth and young adults, inspiring hope and resilience every step of the way.
