A child goes missing. Police are contacted. A case is opened, and it joins the others already on a detective’s desk.
What that case needs most is time — and time is the one thing no agency has enough of.
Our Mission
That is where 4theONE comes in. Since 2015, we have worked alongside law enforcement, DFPS, nonprofit partners including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and North Texas families to help find children who are missing, exploited, or being trafficked. We bring experienced investigators and volunteers to cases that need more hands, and we stay with them.
Many of our cases come to us at the direct request of law enforcement, or by referral from caseworkers.
Our Impact
As of August 2026, we have worked more than 600 high-risk cases since 2015, over 350 of them trafficking cases.
Behind each of those cases is a child — often one already in state care, removed from harm once, and now missing and more vulnerable than before.
Who Does This Work
The people who do this work come from investigation, law enforcement, military, and other professional backgrounds. Almost all of them are volunteers. They give their nights and weekends to someone else’s child, and they do it because they cannot do otherwise.
Everything we do is provided at no cost — to families, to agencies, to anyone.

4theONE is a nonprofit organization that coordinates volunteers, technology, and partner organizations in support of missing and exploited children. Activities that require a private investigator license are conducted through appropriately licensed private investigators and entities in accordance with applicable law.
Every missing child has a name and a story. 4theONE Foundation exists to help find children who are missing, exploited, or being trafficked — and to see them brought to safety.
Finding a child takes time, people, and resources — and it takes them consistently, not just when a case makes the news.
