Help Build a Future Where Every Adult Can Belong, Thrive, and Live With Purpose
29 Acres was founded by a group of families who shared a deeply personal hope: to create a future where their young adult children with autism and other neurodiversities could continue to learn, grow, build meaningful relationships, and live fulfilling adult lives—even after aging out of the school system.
Every year, an estimated 60,000 children with neurodiversities age out of the school system, leaving families to navigate a new and often overwhelming reality. While school may end, the need for support does not. Many individuals continue to need services that help them maintain skills, develop independence, find meaningful work and activities, and remain connected to their communities. At the same time, caregivers are aging. Parents who have spent decades advocating for and supporting their children are faced with a difficult question: Who will be there for my child when I can no longer be?
29 Acres was born from that question—and from the belief that the answer should be filled with possibility, not fear.
These founding families discovered a tremendous need for quality support services and safe, thoughtfully designed housing for adults with neurodiversities across North Texas. Too many families struggle to find a community that understands their loved one’s unique strengths, needs, and potential.
So they set out to build something better.
29 Acres is creating more than a place to live. We are creating a community where adults with autism and other neurodiversities can discover independence, build friendships, develop skills, contribute their talents, and experience the joy and purpose that come from belonging. Our residential community is paired with a comprehensive suite of quality support services designed to help each individual pursue a full and meaningful adult life.
And you can help make that future possible.
