2007 Hope Inn Christ

Hope Inn Christ is an aftercare home for young men getting out ot he juvenile system.  Many youth coming out of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) do not have a good home to return to.  They end up back on the street and back in prison or dead.  We are here to give the youth that want to change a safe home to live in and the provisions and encouragement they need to be successful.  We welcome the young men into our home and they become a member of the Hope Inn Christ family.   Joel and Melody Montemayor are our house parents.  They reside in the home with the youth.  

Hope Inn Christ commits to provide the following:

• Safe and stable home environment
• Transportation to all necessary appointments and activities, including jobs, school, etc.
• Basic necessities such as meals, clothing and hygiene
• Opportunity to further education
• Assistance with job search and placement
• Aid in obtaining ID and/or driver’s license
• Financial management skills
• Encouragement to succeed
• Family activities and outings
• Access to substance abuse programs and treatments
• A faith based community
• Ability to grow closer to Christ through Bible studies, prayer, and Christian fellowship
