We take basset hounds from area shelters, allowing them to take in more animals. Typically, these bassets require some form of medical help that is preventing their ability to be adopted from the shelter. We provide the medical attention the dog needs to be adoptable.

Our Needs

North Texas Basset Hound Rescue's current needs are funds for supplies and veterinary services to get our basset hounds healthy and placed in loving homes.

Mission

North Texas Basset Hound Rescue, Inc. is organized for the following purposes: 1. Prevent cruelty to animals, specifically basset hounds; 2. Support animal welfare by locating and retrieving homeless, unwanted and/or mistreated basset hounds; 3. Provide necessary funding for medical care, spaying and neutering, for unwanted and/or mistreated basset hounds; and 4. Place homeless, unwanted, and or mistreated canine basset hounds in permanent, loving homes.
