National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

A nonprofit organization

Sadly, very few know of this disease until they are personally impacted. This year 21,000 woman will be diagnosed, and sadly approximately 15,000 will lose their battle. 1 and 78 women will be diagnosed, unfortunately it is more common than most realize. This is why awareness, as well as, research are NOCC's main focuses. There is not a test to detect this disease, and usually by the time it is diagnosed, it is in the later stages, make the survival rate extremely low.

Our Needs

The funds that are to be raised during North Texas Giving Day will be used to improve the quality of life for Dallas/Fort Worth ovarian cancer survivors. The focus of the DFW Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is to connect ovarian cancer patients/survivors with each other. We will also be using the money raised during North Texas Giving Day to raise awareness for ovarian cancer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in order to increase the cases of early detection.

Mission

The mission of the NOCC is to save lives by fighting tirelessly to prevent and cure ovarian cancer, and to improve the quality of life for survivors.
