Mount Vernon Music's five strategies to fulfill our mission:
- Community Concerts with the highest quality in programming of live chamber music.
- Youth Outreach includes in-school clinics by expert players, and age-tailored programs of original musical stories with visual art and narration.
- Musical Lifelines brightens the lives of people in long-term care facilities with performances by professional musicians.
- Scholarship Assistance for Young Musicians has awarded more than $38,000 to talented youth.
- Commissioning and Publishing of compelling new works creates new opportunities for musical experience.
Since Mount Vernon Music receives support from donors throughout the DFW area and beyond, each year we bring encore performances of our regular subscription concerts to venues throughout the metroplex. In the 2025-2026 season, this includes concerts in Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth.
MVM is seeking performance support for the following programs remaining this season, and for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.
HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT — Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 7:30 pm Mount Vernon Music Hall, and Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 2:30 pm, Presbyterian Village North, Martin’s Landing Auditorium

The mission of Mount Vernon Music is to provide and develop the appreciation for high-quality performance of live music in East Texas.
Mount Vernon Music is seeking financial assistance for five concerts in the DFW area from September 2024 through May 2025.
Central to the mission and vision of Mount Vernon Music is our commitment to sharing the extraordinary human legacy of music with people who otherwise would not have access to it. To do that, we also commit to celebrating, honoring and serving the beautiful, interconnected diversity of humanity in the musical world, including composers, performers and audience members of all socio-economic backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, religions and gender identities.
