These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services.
We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, and vendors. Over the last ten years, Metrocrest Services has weaved Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
(DEI) into our mission, core values, staff, and leadership. We strive to have our staff and leadership mirror the neighbors we serve, including hiring bilingual staff to ensure all clients have access to all programs. But within the last year, we have created a DEI Committee of staff to further this cause. Initiatives have included training for board, staff and volunteers, decreasing barriers for clients who can't access services and increasing advocacy on housing, food insecurity, and the dangers of payday loans.
