Diane’s Confidence Was Restored—Thanks to Donors Like You

After years of battling addiction, Diane came to Metrocrest Services seeking help with rent, but found much more. With support from her Workforce coach, she rebuilt her resume, practiced interviews, and landed a job at a pizza shop just three blocks from home. Still, something was missing: the confidence to smile. Her dentures were cracked, and she was holding them together with superglue.

That one day turned into today, thanks to a generous donor, who made Diane’s new dentures possible. By giving to Metrocrest Services on North Texas Giving Day, you help turn “one day” into “today” for neighbors like Diane.

Mission

Since 1971 Metrocrest Services has worked to empower individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and foster independence.

Equity Statement

Metrocrest Services, Inc. does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services.

We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, and vendors. Over the last ten years, Metrocrest Services has weaved Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

(DEI) into our mission, core values, staff, and leadership. We strive to have our staff and leadership mirror the neighbors we serve, including hiring bilingual staff to ensure all clients have access to all programs. But within the last year, we have created a DEI Committee of staff to further this cause. Initiatives have included training for board, staff and volunteers, decreasing barriers for clients who can't access services and increasing advocacy on housing, food insecurity, and the dangers of payday loans.
