Leadership Fort Worth

A nonprofit organization

The pandemic continues to highlight the importance of leaders across our community across all sectors. Our 2020 program participants transitioned to virtual programming to complete their programs and we held our first all virtual LeadershipClass in 2021. We continue to monitor the pandemic while we plan for the return to in-person programming this fall for the LeadershipClass of 2022. We are reimagining our Issues Initiatives with the LeadershipClass of 2022 to ensure we are meeting the needs of our growing community by engaging residents and stakeholders in the process to identify needs and plan Issues Initiatives projects for the future.

Other service to our non-profit community includes:
• More than 400 young professionals placed on non-profit boards of directors
• More than 50 nonprofit boards served
• 90% of top 100 boards have an LFW graduate serving
We believe in our nonprofit community and would ask you to help us support them.

Our Needs

Leadership Fort Worth is focused on raising funds to support our scholarship and tuition waivers through the 2021 North Texas Giving Day. These funds ensure we have the resources to invest in program participants who would otherwise not join the program due to cost. This is one effort to ensure broad outreach across various communities Leadership Fort Worth has not historically reached to increase diverse and inclusive perspectives from our participants in our all our programs.

Mission

To educate, empower and connect diverse leaders who serve as catalysts for a vibrant, sustainable community

Equity Statement

LFW's Board of Directors is committed to taking the following actions to foster a more diverse and inclusive Fort Worth:

2. Partnerships for Scholarships - Partner with minority chambers of commerce groups to provide scholarships to participants who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in LFW's programs.

3. Exposure to New Perspectives - Work with our alumni and stakeholders to organize and host educational events that bring community leaders together to share their perspectives and explore ways they can collaborate to build a more inclusive Fort Worth.

4. Share our Platform - Leverage Leadership Fort Worth's platform to better understand and empower the many cultures in our community. Organize and lead the community's vision for a better future.
