About 88.9 KETR

Since 1975, the primary function of listener-supported, non-profit 88.9 KETR has been to provide our community with news, information, ideas, culture, and citizenship that will benefit our community and inspire it to grow, learn, and prosper.

KETR’s 100,000 watt FM signal can generally reach nearly 80 miles in all directions out from Commerce, TX. The quality of the signal can sometimes be affected by topographical anomalies like lakes or hills, but KETR’s been heard consistently in Hugo, OK, Canton, TX, Garland, TX,  Mt. Vernon, TX, and all areas in between.

Needs

Your contribution to 88.9 KETR on NTX Giving Day is essential to helping achieve the station’s overarching goal of financial sustainability.

Securing dependable, ongoing member support means that KETR can continue to provide the programs that you and so many rely on each day, such as: NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered, locally-produced and hosted Texas music show Notably Texan, public radio favorites like Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! and TED Radio Hour, A&M Commerce Lions Football and Commerce Tigers Football broadcasts, and so much more!

None of these programs would be possible without the support of community members like you. A gift in any amount on NTX Giving Day to KETR ensures that this station can continue to inform, educate, and enlighten Northeast Texas!
