Kennedi and I am 8 years old in the 2nd Grade at Shields Elementary in the Red Oak School District in Glenn Heights, TX. Shes love to play soccer and baseball and hanging with her big brother Ethan! She is Girl Scout Brownie and a mother to her puppy Duke! She is a normal kid with a passion to serve those in my community.
She asked her parents to help her serve people in need in the community starting with feeding the homeless. She wanted to help them and others in need. Kennedi Kares began one cold night in November 2016 while she was attending Movies In the Park with my mom. It was cold and Kennedi knew that the homeless were cold too. She asked her mom if they could help them on Thanksgiving. Her parents and Girl Scout Troop helped her collect blankets and socks for them and she created a menu for her parents to cook. On November 25, 2016 Kennedi served her first 100 people. Little did she know, this sparked a desire to do more and more. Kennedi continued to serve meals to the homeless during the holidays each year but wanted to do more service than only on holidays. In January 2019, Kennedi Kares became an official non-profit organization. Since 2016, Kennedi has served over 1,000 meals!

Kennedi Kares is a nonprofit organization that seeks to serve community members by providing tangible ministry that encompasses capturing the entire spectrum of needs of the most underserved in our communities. We aim to do this by fulfilling needs in 4 Vital Areas:
Basic needs-Food, Clothing, Toiletry Items, Feminine Products, etc.)
Social Emotional Needs-Individual & Group Counseling, Mentoring, Referrals, etc.
Educational Needs-Tutoring, Parent Education Classes, Books, School Supplies, etc.
Recreational Needs-Toys, Assistance for extra curricular activities, Field Trips, etc.
