In 2019, the Irving Family Advocacy Center, Inc., (IFAC) provided services to 2,091 unique individuals and 12,676 hours of direct client services. Our agency is a non-profit community mental health outpatient clinic that partners with the Irving Police department to provide counseling to the Irving residents free of charge. Our main target population are families who have been impacted by crime (i.e., domestic violence, child physical and sexual abuse, truancy, at risk juveniles, etc.).

Our Needs

We need financial support to fund our operations and clinical team, including funds to hire a bilingual counselors due to the high volume of Spanish-speaking clients. As a non-profit, our counselors are volunteers (masters and doctoral-level interns) and fully licensed part-time staff, working under the non-profit board. In 2019, 46% of clients served were Hispanics.

Mission

The mission of the Irving Family Advocacy Center, Inc. is to provide education and services to strengthen the family in order to prevent family violence and juvenile crime, as well as to assist in the recovery of those impacted by family violence or juvenile crime.
