Our Community

Since 2002, Hope Clinic has partnered with our community to provide free, integrated medical and preventative health care to uninsured adults by addressing whole-person health care needs in the context of family, faith, and community. Hope Clinic has grown over the past 20 years to meet a growing need in our community, from a one-room operation located inside a borrowed space to a 5,400 square foot clinic with 14 experienced, professional staff and dozens of dedicated volunteers.

In our 21st year of service, Hope Clinic remains the only nonprofit that provides completely free medical and preventative care for the uninsured members of our Garland-area community. Without facilities such as ours, this uninsured and underserved population would not have access to medical care and preventive services, which may cause delays in disease diagnosis, poor health outcomes, and higher health care costs for the individual and society.

Focused on continuity of care, Hope Clinic stands out due to our comprehensive healthcare model that includes primary care, urgent care, chronic health condition care, behavioral health care, case management, and spiritual care. We serve the community five days per week, with access to on-call physicians 24/7. The clinic is conveniently located near public transportation, making it easily accessible to the most under-resourced communities in Garland and surrounding areas. Physicians and support staff provide services in Spanish and English.

Our Impact

In 2022, we directly served 1,018 unduplicated patients across all programming, averaging approximately five sessions per patient. Patients may receive care from all programming areas offered. We project to serve 1,500 patients in 2023. Your generous support of our critical mission will help us meet this growing need and our goals for this year.  With your support:

•    1,500 patients will receive quality medical treatment, prescription treatment, and/or referral to specialized care through our primary and urgent care clinic.

•    1,200 patients will additionally receive chronic disease management and preventative healthcare screening and education

•    180 patients will receive behavioral healthcare services

•    400 patients will receive case management and spiritual care services to access basic needs resources such as emergency financial assistance, governmental  assistance navigation, and trusted partner medical specialist referrals.
