Hillels of North Texas is a pluralistic, inclusive environment where all students are given the opportunity to develop their Jewish identity. We encourage every student to explore what it means to be Jewish and to forge their own path towards becoming leaders. Through the hard work of staff and students, we are able to serve the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Woman's University, and Collin College students from DFW and beyond. We foster the Jewish community on campuses and provide students with impactful programming for Shabbat, holidays, cultural events, and Jewish learning unique to our organization.
Today, we ask you to partner with us for North Texas Giving Day. Together, we can ensure that every Jewish student gets to explore their Jewish identity and make lasting connections. Our goal this Giving Day is to raise $5,000 to make sure we can continue to provide a home away from home for our students. With your support, we know we can meet this goal! Thank you for joining us and supporting our mission!
Sukkot Shabbat - $1,000
The first night of Sukkot is a Friday night that coincides with UNT Family Weekend. Students, families, and friends of Hillel will join together on campus for a Shabbat program under the stars and see why students feel at home with Hillel.
Rosh Hashanah Dinner - $750
Students at UNT will gather Erev Rosh Hashanah to enjoy a traditional dinner with round challah
Student Interns - $500 (x4)
To engage students and build relationships across campus, amazing student interns will work with Hillel staff and student leaders to bring experiences to new students beyond High Holy Days
Apples & Honey - $250 (x2)
Students at UNT and UTD will hear the sounds of the shofar, learn about Rosh Hashanah, and enjoy tasting a selection of apples dipped in honeys
Reverse Tashlich - $180
Support students’ park and waterfront cleanup as part of the movement’s efforts to #RepairTheSea #TikkunHaYam
Hillels of North Texas' mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they may enrich the lives of Jewish people and the world with a vision of inspiring every student to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel. Hillels of North Texas enables students to connect with one another in a Jewish environment as their "Jewish home away from home."
