$30,000 Goal

This year, Goodwill Dallas is striving to achieve an ambitious target of acquiring 500 donors to support its Workforce Development programs---Career Services and Disability Services.

Goodwill's business works so people can. We are more than just your local thrift shop! As the largest not-for-profit job training and placement provider in the metroplex, Goodwill believes that work has the power to transform lives by building sustainable employment and self-sufficiency.

For 100 years, Goodwill has helped individuals with barriers to employment transform their lives through the power of jobs. The Donated Goods program provides direct employment through the recycling and reselling of material donations across their 18 stores while keeping millions of pounds of reusable items out of landfills. The program currently employs 700+ individuals and provides opportunities for development and multiple paths to success. The revenue generated is invested back into creating employment opportunities for individuals with barriers. The Workforce Development program utilizes a person-centered approach to assessments, education, job training and placement to build pathways to success and helps them achieve their goals. Additionally, Goodwill collaborates with local organizations and businesses to provide wraparound services and job placement opportunities within the community. Today, Goodwill Dallas serves eight counties across North Texas, including Dallas, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, Rains, Rockwall, and parts of Collin and Denton counties.
