$70,000 Goal

NO FAMILY SHOULD HAVE TO REBUILD ALONE

Your gift will be doubled through September 17.

Refugee and immigrant families arrive in North Texas with courage, skills, and hope. But rebuilding in a new country often means learning a new language, finding meaningful work, navigating unfamiliar systems, and creating stability without a trusted community beside them.

Your gift changes that.

Through North Texas Giving Day, every dollar you give will be matched, up to $35,000. A $50 gift becomes $100. A $250 gift becomes $500. When our community raises $35,000, the matching gift will create $70,000 in total support for refugee and immigrant families.

Your doubled gift helps families learn English, prepare for meaningful careers, secure stable housing, navigate unfamiliar systems, and build lasting connections.

In 2025, donor support helped Gateway of Grace:

 • Support more than 1,400 individuals
• Equip140 adult students through English, literacy, digital skills, and citizenship programs
• Help 12 individuals secure meaningful career placements
• Achieve a 95% sustainability rate, reflecting stable housing, consistent employment, and long-term community integration

Behind every number is a person gaining confidence, a parent finding opportunity, a child discovering belonging, or a family building a more secure future.

Give by September 17. Help a family move from striving to thriving—and double your impact today.

WHAT YOUR GIFT MAKES POSSIBLE

STABILITY IS BUILT OVER TIME

Refugee and immigrant families already living in North Texas are working hard to create secure futures. Yet limited English, underemployment, unfamiliar systems, transportation challenges, and lack of professional networks can continue to restrict opportunity long after resettlement.

Determination is not the problem. What families often lack is access—access to education, career pathways, reliable transportation, practical guidance, and people they can trust.

Gateway of Grace brings these resources together. Rather than addressing one immediate need and stepping away, we walk alongside the whole family for the long term.

AMOUR’S STORY: ONE OPPORTUNITY STRENGTHENS AN ENTIRE FAMILYAmour arrived in Dallas from Kenya with her six children while her husband remained overseas. She worked evening shifts at a hotel, carrying the responsibility of supporting and raising the family largely on her own. Even with steady work, her wages could not keep pace with $1,700 in monthly rent and the daily cost of caring for six children. She began searching for a second job simply to keep the family afloat.

Amour did not lack determination or experience. She lacked access to professional guidance, stronger employment opportunities, and a network that could help her navigate an unfamiliar system.

That changed when she attended a Gateway of Grace job fair.

Through personalized career coaching, interview preparation, and help completing applications, Amour was equipped to pursue a better opportunity. Soon afterward, she secured a position with Mesquite ISD.

The new job was more than a paycheck. It created greater stability for a mother and six children. Gateway of Grace continued walking beside the family: her children received school supplies, participated in seasonal programs, and became part of a community that knows them and cares about their future.

The pressures Amour carries have not disappeared, but she is no longer navigating them alone. Her story demonstrates what becomes possible when determination is met with opportunity and sustained support.

Your gift helps create more turning points like this through:

EDUCATION THAT OPENS DOORS

English, literacy, digital-skills, citizenship, and GED preparation help adults communicate confidently, navigate daily life, and pursue new opportunities. Children’s enrichment, college readiness, and educational support help young people imagine and prepare for their futures.

CAREER PATHWAYS THAT BUILD ECONOMIC MOBILITY

Career coaching, résumé and interview preparation, job fairs, employer partnerships, financial education, and entrepreneurship guidance help participants translate their existing skills and experience into meaningful employment, advancement, and lasting stability.

PRACTICAL SUPPORT AND BELONGING

Transportation, transitional housing, crisis assistance, cultural orientation, family enrichment, and trusted relationships help families remain secure and connected while they work toward independence.

All Gateway of Grace programs are provided at no cost to participating families. Your gift does more than provide a class, a ride, or help during a crisis. It creates a connected pathway toward education, meaningful employment, family stability, and belonging.

Through September 17, every dollar you give will be matched, up to $35,000. When our community raises $35,000, the matching gift will create $70,000 in total support for refugee and immigrant families.
